Welcome to the English Center
The English Center was established in 1997. Through the 20 years of its operation it has gained relevant experience in teaching adults English, mostly women aged from 35 to 55 or around. As a main profile, intensive English courses are run on a daily basis by a professional staff of 8 qualified ELTs using communicative approach with a team-teaching method.

What we teach
English at all levels | Business English
English for Travel | Exams preparation
We provide English language courses at all levels (A0, A1, A2, B1, B2, C1) and at different areas e.g. General English, General English Communication, Everyday English, English at work, Business English, Intercultural Communication, English Exam Preparations, English for Travel. Our main focus is on developing general English skills.
Our public courses are quite popular and intensive being 2 or 3 days a week. They are in the mornings from 8.30 to 12.00 and they provide 200 to 300 classes through an academic year. One-to-one courses normally run for 1 to 3 years and are always tailor-made.

We follow communicational methods while focusing on all the 4 skills’ development like speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Small group-size make it possible to develop speaking skills during the courses while paying high attention on individual development. Our learners are involved in real communication, their natural strategies for language acquisition are used, which allows them to learn to use English. The average group size is between 4 and 8.
Learn Hungarian
as a foreign language
The Szentendre English Center language school offers tailor-made Hungarian language courses to foreigners. Private lessons can be arranged with one of our teachers, who has extensive experience in teaching Hungarian as a foreign language. Schedule is subject to the teacher’s availability and can be individually negotiated.

We teach adult learners with the purpose of developing their competences of using English in their professions and at different multinational situations
We have B2B and B2C services as well which we always provide to meet our students’ requirements.
Our students usually join us for the whole year from September to June, and some of them re-join us for the next year as well. During its operation English Center has had more than 3 000 students having about 150-200 classes per person, which means that our students always skip at least one complex level with us.

We aim to create an active English speaking community of our students and provide them with an English language knowledge that meet their career needs. Therefore we organise social programmes like English language Theatre performances or Tourist mornings in Szentendre and also help them prepare for an English language job interview or put together a professional English language CV.
